This post really resonated with me. As I have been working though my cheerful acceptance…I have had many realizations that there are many parts of the real “me” that I have denied…or tried to cover up. Great post!

I’m right there with you…..yesterday I went to the library with the specific purpose to grab CD’s for my new IPOD Nano that I got for Mother’s Day (which is the second best present I have ever been given – that wasn’t my husband, or daughters)…I found CD’s that I had in my youth. These covers brought me back in time to many many many nights of hiding away in my room, singing. I checked them out, and was very diligent to put them on my IPOD as soon as I got home. I can’t wait to start singing them today! I remember feeling like “me” when I was singing these songs…not wife, or mother, or business owner…just me. I’m returning to my “roots” in this process of C. A. …and it is very weird!
